Jag vet att jag har sagt det tidigare men jag måste säga det igen. Det kommer bli så otroligt jobbigt att åka härifrån! Det känns nu ännu svårare sedan detta mailet trillade ner i inkorgen. Det är ett brev från Marilyn och Tony, Francescas morföräldrar.

Dear Karen,

  

It will not be long now until you leave UK and return to Sweden!  I just wanted to put pen to paper (or in this case, my apologies for it being type written) and say, as her grand parents, how extremely grateful we are for the loving care and attention you have bestowed on Francesca during your time as her au pair.  Both Tony and myself want to thank you and wish you the very best of luck when you return home and on to University.

  

As you are aware, in the past, Kelly and Steve have not had it easy trying to find a suitable au pair to look after Francesca - at times, very upsetting to say the least. But, when you arrived a very large weight was lifted off their shoulders!  I know that Kelly found it extremely difficult to leave Francesca with anyone.  However, I also know that she has felt entirely at ease knowing that, not only were you her au pair but, you have also built a strong bond between the two of you.  Francesca loves you and that it very clear to see!  She will clearly miss you very much and we hope that you will remain in her life and try to see her from time to time (it would be lovely to see you in September if you can manage it).

  

As Francesca's grand parents, thank you so very much for being her friend!
